Some projects are more than just a remodel—they’re a restoration of history, character, and heart. This stone bungalow was one of those projects.
After a devastating fire damaged both the interior and exterior of the home, the house was left in need of extensive repairs and a complete reimagining. While the damage was significant, the bones of the home—and its original charm—were still there. Our goal was clear from the start: bring the home back to its former glory while thoughtfully introducing modern elements that would support today’s lifestyle.

We began by addressing the structural and fire-related damage, carefully removing compromised materials and rebuilding from the inside out. Every step required close attention to detail, from restoring the integrity of the stone exterior to rebuilding the interior spaces that had been completely lost. Preserving the home’s original character was a top priority, especially the craftsmanship that gives a classic bungalow its timeless appeal.

Once the foundation of the rebuild was complete, we focused on blending old and new. Traditional architectural details were restored or replicated to match the original style, while modern upgrades—cleaner lines, updated finishes, and improved functionality—were woven seamlessly throughout the home. The result is a space that feels both familiar and refreshed, honoring its history while offering the comfort and efficiency of a modern renovation.

This project was a true labor of love. Transforming a fire-damaged home into a warm, welcoming space again is never simple, but seeing the bungalow brought back to life made every step worthwhile. It now stands as a beautiful example of how thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship can restore not just a home, but the story it continues to tell.
